Lot description

Bronze, 24k gold fire gilding, rhinestone, painting; height 5 cm, width 3 cm. Good condition.
Hanging medallion with a profile portrait in paper cutout style, fashionable in the Stanislavski period.
The man is wearing a wig, which ceased to be used in the early 19th century. On the back, decorative monogram: "CJH" referring to the person portrayed. Also the bow in the finial is typical of early classicism. A beautiful and uncommon today jewelry item from the era of Stanislaw Augustus.
