mixed technique (acrylic, own technique), canvas, 120 x 95 cm, signed l.d.: pablo
Pawel Bienkiewicz was born in Poland in 1962 and creates abstract works. These include analog paintings - painted on paper or canvas, and digital works. He is fascinated by all issues that define our existence in the universe, both material and mental. His works feature motifs of space, inter-dimensional transitions, undulations, vibrations, transformation of energy and matter, contrast of light and shadow, tonal play of colors, and symbols.
Captured in this way, the momentary states of matter become a photograph of what can escape our attention and will not happen again, or last, still invisible but inherently real and real. Matter in his works is in constant motion, changing shapes, colors and shades. The paintings put the viewer in a new perspective of observing nature. where matter, space and energy are intertwined and form a unity. Perhaps, looking at Pavel Bienkiewicz's works, we are inside the atom and see the invisible micro-world of elementary particles, or it is possible that we are in outer space and see vast areas of the universe.
In digital works, he consistently develops his original technique, which he calls HYBRID PAINTING. In this technique, an image painted on canvas is often created first. It serves as a matrix for the further creative process, based on photo collage and digital painting. The result is a digital work that is not a literal photograph of the matrix but a digitally modified alternative. In this way, the author wants to create a reference to the possibility of every aspect of our reality functioning in other, parallel universes.
His masters are: H.R. Giger, Wojciech Fangor, Victor Vasarely, Zdzislaw Beksinski. Pawel Bienkiewicz uses the pseudonym "pablo" in his works, dressed in an elliptical logotype.
