acrylic, canvas, 100 x 80 cm, signed p. d.: p. d.: Soli Deo-e; described on the reverse: "Quickly, before darkness falls" I 2024 I Edyta Kusa I Soli Deo-e.
Edyta is an artist born in Konin. In her previous work she used the pseudonym Edi Sen. Even as a little girl she did not part with her crayons, constantly escaping to the world of imagination. She felt then that these were special moments. Despite persuasion from her family and teachers to follow the
artistic path, she decided to follow
reason by taking up more "mundane" studies. Suppressing her love for art proved futile. The desire to express emotions through creativity
returned to her with redoubled force in 2019. Since then, the painter has not parted with her easel.
Her brush is guided by an inner, instinctive need to pour on canvas the most intimate visions, fascinations and dilemmas that loom in the vestibule of the human heart. Edyta is constantly and zealously improving her painting technique through self-education.
For the painter, a human being is an indefinable form, a creature with a complex mind, endowed with imagination and genius, but the same one who is tossed about by everyday worries, anguish and sensitivities. In Edith's work, the expression of focus is directed in particular to the human interior and spiritual sphere. The author's paintings depict the relationship of this intricate and fragile being with the Creator.
My painting is primarily a mirror of my inner world, pondering, emotions and visions. The viewer, however, is modern man, tormented by the rush of the world and distressed by everyday life. The dimness, as well as the decompression present in a chaotic world, I therefore try to disperse with a
with a beam of light, which I hopefully weave into the spaces of each successive painting. I dream that if you come into contact with my art, these paintings will be a kind of refuge for a wounded, cold soul.
