Maria Janowska (born Warsaw 1929). In 1947-1951 she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (Department of Textiles - Prof. Eleonora Plutyńska, Mieczyslaw Szymanski), in 1953 graduated. Creativity in the field of fabric (kilim, tapestry). From 1951-1967 designer at IWP, from 1967-1977 designer at CBWPL. Since 1953, she has worked with Cepelia.

She received numerous awards in competitions-reviews of Cepelia for artistic textiles. Gold Medal at the Munich Fair (1962), gold medal at the exhibition "Visual Artists in the Circle of Cepelia" in Warsaw (1973).
